He has some triggers and dominoes set-up around him, so the best way to proceed is just to have a friendly chat.
The reason you should listen to him is he is the "good cop" trying to lead you to the best outcome in the most pleasant way possible. Depending on who you are, you may end up dealing with the "bad cop" who is from the KBUNN section. He will not be as kindhearted.
There is a third choice. Always three (good cop, bad cop , or no cop). "No cop" means you are left to your fate without intervention. Handed over to God as it were.
